When we launched the first version of LouAI, the Formatting option was already sitting there in the sidebar, grayed out, not yet functional. It was one of those “on the list” features we knew we’d circle back to once the basics were in place.
That time finally came.
This new tool assists with the structure of your content, focusing on how it is presented rather than the content itself. It is designed for posts that effectively communicate their message but may overwhelm the reader with long blocks of text, unclear points, and missed chances to enhance readability with rhythm and spacing.
Here’s how it works:

You open the LouAI panel, scroll to Formatting, and choose what kind of adjustments you’d like help with:
- Add subheadings
- Break up long paragraphs
- Turn dense sections into lists
- Pull out quotes that are getting lost
Once you’ve picked your options, LouAI gives you a side-by-side preview. You can accept the layout changes, reject them, or ignore them entirely and keep writing. It doesn’t touch your words — just reshapes the scaffolding around them.
It’s been especially useful in longer posts, or anytime I’ve been too close to the draft to notice where the structure drags. That’s really what this is for — not a rewrite engine, not a fixer — just a gentle nudge that helps your writing hold up a little better once it’s out in the world.
If you’re blogging on the LexBlog platform, LouAI is available and free to use. The formatting tool is just one way we’re trying to make publishing a little easier — and help your voice come through, clearly.
